[article]
Titre : A New Perspective on Anhedonia in Schizophrenia Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Gregory P. Strauss, Auteur ; James M. Gold Année de publication : 2012 Article en page(s) : p.364-373 Note générale : Nouvel abonnement. Reçu le 3 Mai 2012 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : [Thesaurus n°1] Troubles psychotiques:Schizophrénie Mots-clés : émotion anhedonie Résumé : Previous research provides evidence for discrepancies in various types of emotional self-report in individuals with schizophrenia; patients and healthy subjects report similar levels of positive emotion when reporting current feelings, yet patients report lower levels of positive emotion when reporting on noncurrent feelings. Such apparent discrepancies, which have come to be termed the «emotion paradox» in schizophrenia, have complicated our understanding of what anhedonia actually reflects in this patient population. The authors sought to resolve this paradox. Permalink : https://ch-poitiers.fr/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=74061

Reçu le 3 Mai 2012 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : trouble psychotique diagnostique Résumé : Early detection in first-episode psychosis confers advantages for negative, cognitive, and depressive symptoms after 1, 2, and 5 years, but longitudinal effects are unknown. The authors investigated the differences in symptoms and recovery after 10 years between regional health care sectors with and without a comprehensive program for the early detection of psychosis. Reçu le 3 Mai 2012 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : fluoxetine épisode dépressif majeur Résumé : Major depression in adolescents is a significant public health concern because of its frequency and severity. To examine the neurobiological basis of depression in this population, the authors studied functional activation characteristics of the brain before and after antidepressant treatment in antidepressant-naive depressed adolescents and healthy comparison subjects. Reçu le 3 Mai 2012 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : [Thesaurus n°1] Troubles psychotiques:Schizophrénie Mots-clés : metamphétamine Résumé : Clinical investigators in Japan have long suggested that exposure to methamphetamine might cause a persistent schizophrenia-like psychosis. This possibility is discounted in the Western literature. To investigate the relationship between drug use and later schizophrenia, the authors conducted a large-scale cohort study of drug users initially free of persistent psychosis. However, the specific neural mechanisms through which this gene-by-environment interaction confers risk remain largely unknown, and no study to date has directly examined the modulatory effects of 5-HTTLPR on corticolimbic circuit responses during exposure to acute stress.
