[Thesaurus n°1] prostitutionMots-clés : Travail sexuel Jeunes Stigmatisation Attitude Enquête Résumé : Sex work has defined as the provision of sexual services for money or goods. Since sex work is considered one of India's oldest professions, it is regarded as a highly stigmatised profession. Understanding youth's perception will help determine the current status of sex work in society and the stigma existing in society. A survey was conducted among 187 young adults within the age range of 18–30, selected by random sampling, using an online semi-structured questionnaire to understand the attitude toward sex work in four broad areas which are general perception about sex work, attitude towards sex workers, attitude towards people who buy sex, the legal status of sex work to address the issue stated. Altogether the study points out a shift in the general negative attitude or stigma existing in sex work. The results indicate that young adults possess less stigmatised attitude towards sex work and sex workers, and supporting the legalisation of sex work even though they have less legal awareness. Religious status plays a significant role in the attitude towards sex work, while education and gender do not. Permalink : https://ch-poitiers.fr/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=117180

First, a qualitative study was conducted in the form of a nurse focus group. Second, semi-structured interviews were led with fourteen rheumatoid arthritis or spondyloarthritis patients. An analysis of verbatim transcriptions of the focus group revealed 5 themes: an absence of any obligation to address the subject, barriers, lack of dedicated training, difficulties related to organizing TPE, and practical concerns on how to broach the issue. Centrality is the level of importance of one's gender is to an individual's identity which has been traditionally prescribed by stereotypical gender traits. Also, this study will evaluate whether gender identity plays a role in determining an individual's choice of sexual partners’ gender. This study focuses on an individual's gender makeup (on the scale of masculine and feminine) and the participants’ own view of importance for how gender identity plays a role in the way the individual feels about themselves. Previous research has focused on sex roles and gender stereotypes as it pertains to pleasure and intimacy, but these studies have only focused on binary gender identity categories (male/female). The researchers conducted a secondary data analysis using survey data, from the 2020 and 2021 Pleasure Study, on human sexuality that was collected online. There were a total of 1183 respondents in the study of various gender identities. The data shows strong correlations between highly masculine individuals with high centrality choosing sexual partners with high femininity and not individuals with high masculinity. This study showed that cismen with nonbinary partners and ciswomen with nonbinary partners had the lowest average centrality out of all the gender partner combinations. Titre : Platelet-rich plasma: An effective modality to improve sexuality in FGM/C Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : H.H.M. Dardeer, Auteur ; M.L. Mohamed, Auteur ; A.M. Elshahat, Auteur Année de publication : 2022 Article en page(s) : p. 394-402 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : [Thesaurus n°1] dysfonction sexuelle Mots-clés : Plasma riche en plaquettes Dysfonctionnement sexuel féminin Trouble orgasmique féminin MGF/E Résumé : Now, accepted treatments for Female Sexual Dysfunction (FSD) are limited to surgical, psychological, behavioral, hormonal and psychopharmacologic interventions. Because of the complex and multifactorial nature of FSD, current therapeutic options may leave a subset of women suffering with sexual dysfunction without clinical improvement and may be with side effects of the procedures. This is a study to evaluate the effect of platelet rich plasma (PRP) in treating FSD FGM/C. PRP was administered to the anterior vaginal wall (1 session), clitoris of 45 females with FGM/C and non-FGM/C with sexual dysfunction and orgasmic disorder [Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) total score?26 orgasmic subdomain score?3.75]. The correlation between PRP sessions and FSFI domain scores was done with Pearson's correlation and linear regression analysis. Following the application of the PRP, the total FSFI score was converted significantly in both FGM/C and non-FGM/C (P<0.05). A significant change was observed in all sub-domains of FSFI score after PRP (P<0.05). The total FSFI score increased in all 45 females [16 non-FGM/C and 29 FGM/C] (P<0.05). That correlations between all sub-domains of FSFI score before and after PRP injection were significantly positive (P<0.05). Also, there were statistically significant positive correlations between total FSFI scores before and after PRP injection, and sociodemographic and obstetric characteristics of the study population in both FGM/C and non-FGM/C. As a minimally invasive method, PRP administration to the distal anterior vaginal wall may improve female sexuality with high satisfaction in FGM/C. [Thesaurus n°1] échographieMots-clés : Clitoris échographie arginine citrulline Résumé : L-arginine and its precursor and metabolite, l-citrulline, are two amino acids involved in the production of nitric oxide (NO). As a result, they increase blood flow and have been used to treat male sexual dysfunction. We aimed to evaluate whether a topical gel containing l-arginine and l-citrulline could increase blood flow to the clitoris. Sonography of the clitoris was performed on a healthy 32-year-old volunteer before and after applying the gel externally to the vulva. The “before” scans were obtained using a neutral ultrasound gel (without l-arginine or l-citrulline). This allowed us to verify that the observations were due to the active ingredients of the gel, and not from massage associated with its application. Control images without gel could not be obtained, since acquisition of ultrasound images requires ultrasound gel in order to reduce acoustic impedance. The scans were obtained with a Philips Lumify™ ultrasound (Koninklijke Philips N.V., Amsterdam, Netherlands) with a L12-4 linear array transducer (4–12MHz). Clitoral blood flow was assessed qualitatively (color Doppler images), as well as quantitatively (peak systolic velocity, end diastolic velocity, and resistive index of the deep artery of the clitoris). Clitoral blood flow and velocities increased after application of the gel containing l-arginine and l-citrulline at the time points assessed (5 and 15minutes). Difficulty achieving clitoral stimulation is a major cause of sexual dysfunction. Clinicians can use these findings to counsel patients about using gels to increase clitoral blood flow.
