| Résumé : |
Cell phones have transitioned quickly from being a luxury to a necessity and today, it is hard to find someone who is not enjoying the amazing power of cell phones. However, with great powers come great responsibilities; most of the users are unaware of the harmful effects of mobile overuse. Today, we are on the brink of being a victim of technology-addiction and in this regard, psychiatrists, educationists, and psychologists have emphasized upon the physical, social, and mental health problems caused by cell phone overuse leading towards addiction. Addiction to mobile phone usage reportedly results in physical as well as mental impairment and has emerged as the subject of extensive discussion and debate among sociologists and psychologists. This technology-addiction needs to be addressed and managed thoughtfully or it may become the second most serious pandemic of this century. [résumé d'auteur] |
